Youth Congress District President The beginning of his career was to become the Youth Congress District President for the Dhar constituency.
Born in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh on 23rd January 1974, Umang Singhar is currently the MLA of
Gandhwani Constituency representing Indian National Congress & has previously served the
State of Madhya Pradesh as the Forest Minister under the tenure of former Chief Minister –
Kamal Nath.
Umang Singhar is known for his philanthropist activities since the beginning of his
political career.

At a very young age, the Congress high command expressed the trust on him by nominating Umang as the Candidate of Dhar Loksabha constituency.
In 2008 Madhya Pradesh vidhansabha election. He participated as INC candidate from Gandhwani, Dhar district and won his first election with a huge margin of votes.
Umang was re-elected for the second time with a clean win in the 2013 Vidhansabha Elections, continuing to serve as the MLA of Gandhwani.
For the third time consecutively, Umang won the 2018 Vidhansabha Elections with a massive majority of 38000 votes & is currently serving diligently the people of Gandhwani.
Government of Madhya Pradesh Umang Singhar has served as the Forest Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh under the Indian National Congress Government and Chief Minister - Mr. Kamal Nath.
